I had a great time taking soundarya out on a Mate's Fee Only Card Shared trip with SRS Adventures in St. Petersburg, Florida. May is a fantastic month for flats fishing here, with warmer waters bringing more fish into the shallows. We met up at 1:00 am, ready for an early start to make the most of the day. The weather was perfect - clear conditions throughout, which always makes for a better time on the water.
We hit the flats and tried a variety of techniques to see what would work best. The water conditions were great, giving us good visibility to spot any movement. We moved around a bit, trying different spots and adjusting our approach as we went. Even though the fish weren't biting, it was still a fun day out there. Sometimes that's just how it goes with fishing, but it doesn't mean we didn't have a good time.
Throughout the day, we kept at it, switching up our tactics and hoping for that lucky break. The clear skies and calm water made for a nice ride, and we got to see some cool stuff out on the flats. Though we didn't manage to land any big prize, we still had a great time out on the water, enjoying the scenery and good company. That's what I love about these trips - even when the fish aren't cooperating, you can still have a blast just being out there.
